Car Insurance
Business car insurance covers
road users who use their car as part of their working day and is split
into three categories; private and occasional business use, private
and business use, commercial traveling.
- Private and occasional
business use - occasionally drive the car for work and the vehicle
is not registered in the businesses' name and not be used for an essential
part of the job.
- Private and business
use - similar to 'private and occasional business use' but the
vehicle can be registered to a business and cover any driver.
- Commercial traveling
- if driving is a permanent aspect of the job, such as a field service
engineer or sales representative.
If the car is registered
to a business it is classified as a company car and should be insured
by the company that owns or leases them, as fleet insurance.
