Vandalism car insurance cover

Your no claims bonus could be affected if you claim for repairs due to damage caused by vandals unless you protect your no claims bonus or find an insurer that offers vandalism cover as standard, such as Saga insurance or Direct Line insurance.

In most cases you will still have to pay the excess and may lose your no claims discount for a short period until the insurer is supplied with a relevant crime reference number so you must report the vandalisum to your local police station and be assigned with a crime reference number. If the damage was caused on purpose by another vehicle your car will not normally be considered to be vandalised.
